Nonprofit Human Services Organization Supports Efforts with Factory-Built Housing

LOUISVILLE, KY – September 6, 2018 – Today, Next Step Network is pleased to announce that St. Vincent de Paul, the largest nonprofit human services organization in Lane County, Oregon, is the latest organization to join Next Step’s efforts to promote the use of affordable, energy-efficient factory-built homes.
“We are thankful to have St. Vincent de Paul join our expanding network of organizations dedicated to affordable-housing solutions,” said Stacey Epperson, president and founder of Next Step Network. “We hope that our partnership will generate further positive impact for the people and community in Lane County.”
St. Vincent de Paul was founded in 1953, and helps more than 84,000 individuals and families each year with affordable housing services – as well as emergency and homeless services. The organization has helped to develop approximately 1,400 units of housing since 1988.
“Mobile home park preservation is an essential step on the ladder of affordable housing in the United States,” said Terrence McDonald, executive director of St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County. “Next Step is helping build that step.”
