Alliance Credit LLC to Participate in Next Step’s SmartMH Program

Ohio-based manufactured housing lender boosts support for home buyers

LOUISVILLE, KY – February 7, 2018 Today, Next Step Network is announcing that Alliance Credit, LLC – an Ohio-based lender specializing in manufactured housing – has joined the Next Step Network, participating in the organization’s SmartMH Program. The SmartMH program brings together forward-thinking organizations and businesses dedicated to supporting prospective manufactured home buyers through housing counseling and homebuyer education.

“Next Step is excited to have Alliance Credit join our SmartMH program with Freddie Mac and eHome America,” said Stacey Epperson, president and founder of Next Step. “As we continue to expand our SmartMH program, our lending partners are a critical component to bringing factory-built homebuyer education and counseling to more communities.”

Alliance Credit is a family-owned, manufactured housing mortgage lender headquartered in Canfield, Ohio, operating in multiple states. The staff at Alliance Credit has more than 30 years of lending and servicing experience in the manufactured housing industry. They provide financial services for home buyers, retailers and financial institutions.

“Alliance Credit, LLC is honored to be able to join the Next Step Network.  After meeting with Stacey and Pat it was apparent that Next Step is drawing attention to an underserved area of this dynamic market,” said Rob James, president and CEO of Alliance Credit, LLC. “Millions of Americans deserve to have access to affordable housing today, and we are excited to be a part of making that a reality.”

Lenders that are a part of the SmartMH program engage with prospective homebuyers who want to purchase a manufactured home by helping navigate them to a HUD-certified, nonprofit housing counseling organization that provides access to homebuyer education and counseling services. SmartMH lenders can then work directly with prospective homebuyers, getting them pre-approved to purchase a modern, energy-efficient manufactured home.

The SmartMH program connects qualified homebuyers with financial institutions and manufactured home retailers to increase access to affordable, ENERGY STAR® manufactured homes with fair financing. Freddie Mac has partnered with Next Step to grow the SmartMH program, while improving access to credit for prepared, manufactured homebuyers in Kentucky.
